A Previously Overlooked Manuscript of Fragment Targum (EVR II A 371, National Library of Russia, St. Petersburg)

Abstract The Fragment Targums contain selections of verses from the Pentateuch and form a distinct textual family within Palestinian Targum tradition. To date, our understanding their tradition has been based on nine manuscripts (excluding those copied printed texts). This article introduces another manuscript that previously overlooked. describes manuscript’s content, provides preliminary characterisation text’s relationship to other extant witnesses Pentateuchal Targums, considers some possible implications this new witness for origins, purpose, transmission history Targums.
